" Workshop members continue to audition and be cast in a huge range of TV, advertising, film, radio, theatre and modelling jobs.
Most recently we have landed lead roles in the big new Hollywood film being shot in the UK – PENELOPE (2006). Currently in production, PENELOPE is the offbeat modern day fable, starring CHRISTINA RICCI, REESE WITHERSPOON, JAMES McAVOY, LENNY HENRY, RICHARD E. GRANT, NICK FROST and RONNI ANCONA. Workshop members have also landed roles in the follow up to SHAUN OF THE DEAD – the action / cop comedy, HOT FUZZ (2006). Currently shooting in the West of England, directed by Edgar Wright and starring Simon Pegg. Workshop member JOHN QUINN left the Workshop having landed the role of body double to JOHNNY DEPP for TIM BURTON’s movie, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (2005) – and John is now doing very well for himself we hear!
As is former Workshop member, MARCUS SMITH, who having landed roles in the Workshop films COLDHARBOUR and FOOD OF LOVE, landed a lead role in a 2004 episode of CASUALTY which led to his starring opposite MATT LUCAS’ Bristolian creation, VICKY POLLARD, in an episode of Series 2 of BBC hit comedy show, LITTLE BRITAIN (2005), and now he has the lead playing STEPHEN LAWRENCE in the upcoming BBC Drama Documentary.
