Meet The Team

Having left Gloucestershire University in 1995 with an Honorary Degree in English Studies and Performing Arts, Lisa worked as a music journalist for the Bristol Evening Post. Being far too old and decrepit to actually join the ITV WEST Television Workshop, Lisa offered her services on a voluntary basis and ended up helping Workshop Leader, Adam Fresco, teach the 9-12 groups. Within a year she had taken over the teaching of the group, and within two years had become a fully-fledged Workshop Co-Ordinator. Since then, as well as continuing to teach Workshops, Lisa has acted in and directed a number of workshop productions and performed in the ITV programmes: THE GET RICH PROJECT, CRIMESTOPPERS and A TRIP IN THE COSMIC BUGGY.

Lisa trained as Assistant Director to Adam Fresco on Workshop shows: 2000 VOICES and THE FORGOTTEN ARMY (2000) and has since directed the hugely successful Workshop productions: MORT (2001), DICK WHITTINGTON AND BOB THE CAT! (2002), WOMBERANG! (2003), BUGSY MALONE (2004) and Shakespeare's TWELFTH NIGHT (2006). Lisa has also produced and directed the Workshop short films, TIGER STRIPES and LEMONAID (2005). In Spring 2006 Lisa was Assistant Floor Manager for the weekly ITV WEST show, SOCCER NIGHT.

She also likes to do a spot of acting in her free time and has performed in the Workshop's productions of VAMPIROLOGY (2002) and MR KOLPERT (2005). Lisa is also an avid member of drama group, The Kelvin Players, with whom she starred as Lizzie Bennett in their production of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE (2006).

Lisa comments: 'I really enjoy teaching the workshops and directing shows and love all the enthusiasm and creativity that they have. It is amazing what they come up with! They definitely keep me feeling young and full of energy!' With so much of her time dedicated to the workshop Lisa's dog OPAL rarely sees her. 'Maybe I'll have to get Opal involved in the workshop so I get to see her more - perhaps the 13-16 group!!! She'll fit right in…' Pictured below are Opal and her owner…
