IN NEW MOVIE: 'PENELOPE'

Actress Christina Ricci (star of THE ADAMS FAMILY & SLEEPY HOLLOW) plays the lead role of Penelope, a woman born with the face of a pig, who tries to end her lifelong curse and find true love… The young CHRISTINA RICCI is played by Workshop member ANDI-MARIE TOWNSEND (aged 8) of Long Ashton, Somerset, who had to spend hours in make-up having her pig's nose applied.

Christina Ricci reveals, "It's a modern-day fable about this girl whose family is cursed. She's born with a pig's nose! And the only way to break the curse is for someone of her own kind to accept and love her. My agent was actually afraid to send the script to me because she thought I'd be offended."

A romantic fable, directed by Mark Palansky & filmed in England, PENELOPE also stars James McAvoy (THE LION, THE WITCH & THE WARDROBE), Peter Dinklage, Catherine O'Hara, Nick Frost (SHAUN OF THE DEAD & HOT FUZZ), Lenny Henry, Ronni Ancona and Richard E Grant (WITHNAIL & I) as well as Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon (who won an Oscar for WALK THE LINE in 2006).
