PRODUCTION SKILLS TUTOR: PAUL DUDBRIDGE
Paul teaches the Production Skills Workshop, teaching young people, aged 16 to 26, every aspect of film and television.
Paul started producing films from the age of 11 when he roped in his father to film his first short. But when the results weren't what he saw in his head, Paul decided to go behind the camera himself to get the film he wanted and saw on tape and the whole notion of making films; directing, scripts, shots and angles started to come about. Years of making short amateur films followed until 1995 when the first feature was planned. Paul set up his own company, Hanover Pictures, in 1995 to produce low budget films, "Love for the Witness" (1995) being the first followed by "Den of Thieves" (1996) and "The Last Contract" (2001). All were premiered at Bristol's Watershed Cinema.
"Projection" (2002), a short film with the ITV West Television workshop followed the next year. After "Projection's" premiere at the IMAX cinema, Bristol, Paul got to work on the second ITV WEST Television Workshop short film, the award-winning haunted house tale, "Coldharbour" (2003).
Since then Paul has continued to make his own films (including "Katie's Mission" and "The Christmas Eve Snowfall") and to work as a part-time Camera Operator and Director.
