The ITV WEST Television Workshop is stepping up a gear!

We had to say a sad goodbye to our long-suffering Workshop Leader Adam Fresco in October, but the Workshop is looking forward to new things in 2007. The exciting and varied projects we have in store are as follows…

MULTIPLYING LIKE SNAILS' - Shooting Spring 2007

This darkly comic yarn is set in an out-of-the-ordinary pet shop; with talking rabbits, hamsters performing Shakespeare and an array of weird customers to boot! This League of Gentleman / Monty Python-esque tale is sure to unnerve and entertain…

Auditions will be held early in 2007 and shooting will take place during the Spring Term

Another collaborative project with Hanover Productions following on from the successes of 'Projection' and 'Coldharbour' - "The Perfect Date" tells the story of widower raising his young family. Trying to move on and get his life back on track, the father of four finds himself back on the dating scene for the first time in two years, with a woman who also happens to be his children's school teacher…

The film will shoot for 4 days in February half term 2007

As a film crew descend on a decaying Victorian psychiatric hospital to shoot a pop video of a B List celebrity, both the inmates of the hospital and the film crew are thrown into chaos by the return of a former patient who has been discharged into 'community care'. When it emerges that her return is for more than a friendly visit, the events that follow are both deeply humorous and tragic, showing that the gap between sanity and abnormality is not as big as we thought…
