AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EXPERIENCED, PROFESSIONAL FREELANCE OCCASSIONAL DRAMA AND PRODUCTION SKILLS WORKSHOP TUTORS
Our tutors are hired on a FREELANCE basis to teach various Workshop groups here at ITV WEST Television Centre in Bristol, so if you are not living locally you might like to consider this fact as the tutor's fee is ALL INCLUSIVE and travel or any other expenses are not payable over and above the tutors rate of £20 per hour and the majority of sessions are between 1 and 2 hours per week.
The workshop trains and offers opportunities to young people in the skills required to perform, present and produce for TV, FILM, THEATRE and RADIO.
We are looking for tutors in ALL AREAS OF DRAMA AND COMMUNICATION.

All our tutors require local authority approval (which entails a police check) as required by the CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS ACTS 1933-63 and the CHILDREN (PERFORMANCES) REGULATIONS 1968. This Matrons (or Chaperones) certificate can be applied for from your local council. In Bristol the contact is 0117 9038432.
If we wish to consider adding you to our pool of tutors we would first invite you in for an informal chat and then invite you to lead a Workshop whilst we observe.
Our Workshop groups meet in the Workshop Studio here at ITV WEST Television Centre during term time. We have three ten-week terms a year (SPRING, SUMMER and AUTUMN) as well as school holiday projects and rehearsal for our regular live stage projects and filming of our short films and documentaries.
Our regular termly Workshop sessions are as follows:
DRAMA: AGES 5 - 9: THURSDAYS 5pm - 6pm
DRAMA: AGES 9 -12 (GROUP 1): SATURDAYS 10am - 12pm
DRAMA: AGES 9 -12 (GROUP 2): SATURDAYS 12.30pm - 2.30pm
DRAMA: AGES 9 -12 (GROUP 3): SATURDAYS 3pm - 5pm
DRAMA: AGES 13 - 16 (GROUP 1): TUESDAYS 5pm - 7pm
DRAMA: AGES 13 - 16 (GROUP 2): WEDNESDAYS 5pm - 7pm
DRAMA: AGES 16 - 19 (GROUP 1): TUESDAYS 7pm - 9pm
DRAMA: AGES 16 - 19 (GROUP 2): WEDNESDAYS 7pm - 9pm
DRAMA: AGES 18 - 26: THURSDAYS 6pm - 8pm
PRODUCTION SKILLS AGES 16+: MONDAYS 6pm - 8pm
